The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: TO LIVE IS CHRIST. During my "quiet time" this morning the scripture was quickened to me: "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Phil.1:21) My thoughts about this were as follows: Whenever I do die I will gain the glorious reward of heaven, but as long as I'm alive I have Christ in me to keep me and strengthen me. So, it's a "win-win" situation, isn't it? In Jesus Christ I have both ABUNDANT LIFE and ETERNAL LIFE! ABUNDANT LIFE: In this life, healing, health, wholeness of body, soul and spirit, safety, protection and deliverance from the evil one, help in trouble, and provision in need. ETERNAL LIFE: After this life-to dwell in the loving presence of the Lord forever, with joy unspeakable and full of glory. He will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more sickness, no more sorrow, pain, or death-only an endless, purposeful existence of experiencing the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. Thank you, Father, for all that I have, all that I am, and all that I hope to be-in and through Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whom I live and move and have my being. Amen! |
